Hong Kong’s Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) today announced the re-appointment of Ms Mary Ma Xuezheng as a non-executive director of the regulator.
Ms Ma was first appointed as a non-executive director of the SFC on November 15, 2013, and her current term is due to expire on November 14, 2015.
In addition, the SFC today welcomed the appointment by the Financial Secretary of Mr Lester Garson Huang as a non-executive director. Both appointments are for two-year terms, with effect from November 15, 2015.
Mr Carlson Tong, the SFC’s chairman, commented:
“I would like to extend a warm welcome to Mr Huang who brings with him a wealth of expertise to the Board. I also look forward to continuing to work with Ms Ma who has provided the SFC with valuable insights in the past two years.”
