Morgan Stanley (NYSE:MS) announced that it has increased its stake in Playtech PLC (LON:PTEC) as of Monday.
Having held a total of 5.35% in the gambling software development company beforehand – 5.01% through shares and 0.35% through financial instruments – Morgan Stanley now holds a total stake of 6.0003% – 5.44% in shares and 0.56% through instruments.
The 5.44% stake is held through 17.3 million shares.
Playtech was down 0.5% on Thursday at 834.15 pence, valuing Morgan Stanley’s direct stake at GBP144.3 million.
Notably, on November 10, Playtech said Morgan Stanley’s stake was 5.17% through 14.5 million shares, implying Morgan Stanley has since purchased 2.8 million Playtech shares, worth GBP23.4 million at Thursday’s share price.
