Western Union revealed Monday that it has appointed Vince Tallent as Senior Vice President, Head of Asia Pacific.

The move comes as the company looks to accelerate its growth across digital, retail and broader ecosystem channels in the region.
Tallent has extensive experience in fintech and the telecommunications, media and technology sectors, having led growth strategies and service innovation in both developed and emerging markets.
Most recently, he served as CEO of Saudi Arabian fintech firm tiqmo, following roles as Group COO and CFO.
His previous positions also include senior leadership roles at leading fintech and TMT firms across Asia Pacific, the Middle East and Europe.
“Vince’s leadership and diverse experience in scaling technology-driven financial services will be invaluable as we continue to strengthen our position in Asia Pacific,” said Giovanni Angelini, Western Union’s President for Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific.
Tallent said he was “delighted to join Western Union at such a pivotal time for the company,” and highlighted his ambition to deliver “customer-centric, innovative solutions that empower individuals as they send and receive money.”
Tallent holds an MBA in Advanced Finance and Corporate Strategy from Kingston University, London, where he was also awarded an Honorary Doctorate. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.
