TMX Group Limited (TSX:X) has just announced January 2018 trading statistics for its marketplaces – Toronto Stock Exchange, TSX Venture Exchange, TSX Alpha Exchange (Alpha) and Montréal Exchange (MX).
MX reached an overall open interest record of 7,889,212 contracts on January 17, 2018 and an equity option open interest record of 3,760,575 contracts on January 19, 2018.
MX has also achieved two volume records for the S&P/TSX 60 Index Standard Futures (SXF) – a monthly record of 959,682 contracts traded, as well as a daily record of 211,811 reached on December 11, 2017, as reported in December’s statistics.
