Daniel, who previously chaired the Texas Workforce Commission, will lead the NYSE’s operations in Texas and report directly to Lynn Martin, President of NYSE Group.

His appointment comes as the NYSE, part of Intercontinental Exchange, seeks to build a local capital markets ecosystem in the Lone Star State.

“We welcome Bryan to our team to lead our efforts to expand in the Lone Star State,” said Martin. “We were impressed with his vast experience working in the Texas government and his commitment to the state’s pro-business landscape.”

Daniel has held multiple roles in state government, including serving on the senior staff of Governor Greg Abbott and directing the Office of Economic Development and Tourism.

He also previously led trade and business development efforts at the Texas Department of Agriculture.

“It is an honour to be a part of the greater NYSE team,” Daniel said. “I am excited for this next step to lead NYSE Texas and drive this important phase of growth for the Texas economy.”

The NYSE added that it has now signed a lease for its new headquarters at the Old Parkland campus in Dallas, with the site expected to open in 2026.
