The London- and New York-based software provider serves financial markets with AI-native application development tools aimed at modernising legacy systems, reducing vendor dependencies and replacing end-user computing.

“Leading Genesis has been the thrill of my career,” Murphy said. “I am deeply proud of what we have built in partnership with our inspirational clients, strategic partners and investors. With AI leading a new wave of software innovation in financial markets, the opportunities ahead for Genesis far exceed what James and I imagined when we started our journey.”

Harrison, who has held senior technology roles at Credit Suisse, Merrill Lynch, Bear Stearns, HSBC and Fidessa, described his appointment as “an absolute honour” and said the company would remain “laser focused” on client partnerships.

Genesis has seen growing demand for solutions addressing regulatory imperatives such as T+1 compliance in Europe, as well as for tools reducing operational risk from spreadsheets and manual processes.

The platform’s component-driven architecture is designed to integrate AI in a predictable and compliant manner, enabling both technical and non-technical users to develop robust financial applications.

Clients include Bank of America, BNY, Citi, ING, Marex, Neptune Networks, Octaura and StoneX. Harrison is based in New York and has previously worked in London, São Paulo and Hong Kong.
