On Wednesday, Clearstream, the post-trade services provider of Deutsche Börse Group, unveiled a new digital solution designed to transform private market fund processing for wealth managers and distributors.
Clearstream Launches a Digital Solution for Private Market Fund Processing
Built on the blockchain-based FundsDLT platform and integrated with Clearstream’s existing Vestima system, the company said the solution is being piloted with selected clients before a broader rollout.
It is said to target long-standing inefficiencies in private market fund distribution by automating key processes and enhancing transparency across the value chain.
According to Clearstream, the digital platform enables anonymised, granular reporting of investor portfolios and supports advanced features such as capital call execution and lockup tracking at the investor level.
They added that it also enables the consolidation of multiple investor portfolios under a single Clearstream account, thereby improving operational efficiency.
Philippe Seyll, CEO of Clearstream Fund Services, said the platform “sets new standards for transparency and efficiency in private market fund distribution,” adding that it brings the firm’s business-to-business model closer to a B2B2C approach.
Furthermore, the solution allows asset managers to track and manage fund issuance and regulatory compliance more effectively, while automating order routing, capital calls, and asset servicing.
Olivier Portenseigne, Head of Digital for Clearstream Fund Services, described the platform as “a game-changer,” noting that it empowers fund providers and distributors to unlock new distribution opportunities while cutting costs and complexity.
