KCG reports a slight MoM drop in October’s Market Making


KCG Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: KCG) has released its trade volumes for the month of October 2016.

In Market Making, KCG averaged $25.9 billion dollar volume traded – a slight drop from September’s $28.9 billion, 6.3 billion shares traded, and 3.2 million trades per day in U.S. equities.

In Global Execution Services:

  • KCG Institutional Equities averaged 209.1 million U.S. equity shares traded per day
  • KCG BondPoint averaged $187.7 million fixed income par value traded per day

As for the overall market conditions in October, consolidated U.S. equity volume averaged $246.7 billion in dollar volume and 6.4 billion shares traded per day.

The realized volatility for the S&P 500 was 6.7.

In October there were 21 trading days in U.S. equities and 20 in fixed income.
