KCG Holdings reports 20% rise MoM in September’s average dollar volume traded

KCG Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: KCG) has released trade volumes for the month of September 2016.

In Market Making, KCG averaged $28.9 billion dollar volume traded (which means a rise of 20% MoM), 4.0 billion shares traded, and 3.5 million trades per day in U.S. equities.

In Global Execution Services:

  • KCG Institutional Equities averaged 220.5 million U.S. equity shares traded per day
  • KCG BondPoint averaged $198.4 million fixed income par value traded per day

As for the overall market conditions in September, consolidated U.S. equity volume averaged $275.3 billion in dollar volume and 7.1 billion shares traded per day. The realized volatility for the S&P 500 was 14.7.

In September there were 21 trading days in U.S. equities and fixed income.
