Nasdaq appoint Roland Chai as President of European Market Services

Nasdaq Inc. (NDAQ) wants its European markets to be an engine for growth and innovation after announcing on Thursday the appointment of Roland Chai as president of the region. Chai will serve as the President of European Market Services. He will be responsible for managing Nasdaq’s multi-asset trading services in respective stock exchanges in Sweden, Denmark, Finland and numerous other countries.

Chai said it was an “honour” to make the step up after three years at Nasdaq. He joined the company in 2020 as Chief Risk Officer before heading up the company’s Marketplace Technology Business. Chai’s burnished his reputation in both of those roles and has now been selected to spearhead Nasdaq’s European operations.
