EXNESS switches trades with CHF pairs to “Close Only” mode

The lineup of Forex brokers that have suspended trading with the Swiss Franc today, after the sudden decision by the Swiss National Bank to remove the minimum exchange rate for the CHF against the EUR has been growing bigger and bigger. Amid the latest entries into the group of brokers to have imposed restrictions on CHF crosses is retail FX broker EXNESS.

Earlier today the company announced it was temporarily shifting all open positions with CHF pairs to “Close Only” mode. The latter means that existing positions can be closed, but no new positions can be opened.

The broker explained the measures with the complicated financial market situation and the insufficient liquidity on the instruments with the Swiss Franc.
