CySEC to withdraw Management Company license of Ankor Capital Ltd

The Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) has just announced that, on its meeting of 30 April 2018, has decided, pursuant to section 121(1)(a) of the Open-Ended Undertakings for Collective Investment Law (UCI Law), to withdraw the authorisation of Ankor Capital Ltd as Management Company, as it has expressly renounced its authorisation.

Following the decision to withdraw its authorisation, Ankor Capital Ltd:

  1. is obliged, in accordance with section 121(6)(a) of UCI Law, to cease, immediately the carrying out of activities or the provision of services covered by its license.
  2. shall be set into liquidation in accordance with section 121(7) of UCI Law, following the provisions of the Companies Law, and submit to CySEC the Court Order for its dissolution, as soon as possible after this has been issued.
