StoneX Group said Monday that it has agreed a deal to acquire French brokerage Plantureux et Associés, strengthening its position in the European agricultural commodities market.
StoneX to Acquire Brokerage Plantureux et Associés
The deal will see StoneX’s subsidiary, StoneX Financial Europe GmbH, take over the Paris-based firm.
Plantureux et Associés, with nearly four decades of experience in agricultural commodities, is seen as a well-established intermediary in France’s cereal market.
The firm operates across both physical and derivatives markets and is known for its deep industry expertise and strong client relationships.
StoneX believes the acquisition will provide it with a strategic foothold in France—the largest grain-producing country in Europe—and enhance its ability to deliver localised services.
“As Europe’s largest grain producer, France represents a critical link in the global agricultural value chain,” said Ramon Martul, Chief Executive of StoneX Europe. “This acquisition will enhance our ability to deliver localised expertise and high-touch service to our clients.”
Brett Phillpott, Head of Exchange Traded Futures and Options at StoneX, called the move “a key step in our European growth strategy.”
Xavier Durand-Viel, President of Plantureux et Associés, said: “This transaction enhances our ability to serve clients while preserving the local relationships and expertise that define our business.”
The deal follows StoneX’s recent acquisition of Octo Finances SA, part of a broader push to expand its European operations.
