Leaprate Exclusive… Edgewater Markets, the NFA-registered non-bank FX liquidity provider, has just informed LeapRate that it has welcomed aboard Rick Lloyd as Director of eFX Sales out of its Singapore office.
Rick Lloyd brings a wealth of experience in the Foreign Exchange markets space spanning over 30 years of industry expertise working for corporate and investment banks, trading spot, options and forwards.

Prior to joining Edgewater Markets, Lloyd was Senior FX Analyst & Asia Manager at Thomson Reuters’, FX Buzz, a dedicated solution for FX news and insight. His contribution enhanced Reuters’ FX, macroeconomic and money market news and analysis offerings. He served on the team as core contributor to Reuters’ newly launched global treasury chatroom, The Dealing Room. Rick made regular appearances on Thomson Reuters Insider’s daily FX programs as well as contributing market commentary to Reuters’ financial clients.
After holding senior level positions with global brokerage firms, large commercial and investment banks, Lloyd was a Proprietary Trader in FX markets at Royal Bank of Scotland. For over 6 years, Rick Lloyd was Head of G10FX Trading Desk at ABN AMRO Bank for Sydney and Singapore. Based out of Sydney, Lloyd was Global Head Investor/Global Head of Spot FX Trading & Financial Institutions Clients at Commonwealth Bank of Australia where his desk was among the first to trade the euro common currency in 1999. Adding to his extensive background, Rick Lloyd held senior level positions at Bank of America and Security Pacific National Bank, both in Los Angeles. Lloyd began his career as a Spot FX Trader at Morgan Guaranty Trust Company in London.
