Nasdaq Futures opts for OptionsCity’s settlement price solution

The solution, built on OptionsCity’s Metro NOW platform, is set to help Nasdaq Futures to further develop its capabilities for establishing accurate settlement prices for options on futures.

Nasdaq has selected OptionsCity Software, an international developer of futures and options trading and analytics solutions, to provide a settlement price solution for derivatives contracts traded on Nasdaq Futures, Inc. (NFX).

“This initiative is aligned with the OptionsCity vision to leverage its core competencies in pricing and analytics to be the power behind exchanges,” said Dan Rooney, OptionsCity’s Vice President of Global Sales. “With the flexible architecture of Metro NOW, we continue to expand our leadership in the options on futures market.”

OptionsCity’s settlement solution is based on its flagship Metro NOW platform, which also includes solid pricing and risk-management analytics.

“As NFX continues to grow, it’s important that we further develop our capabilities for establishing accurate settlement prices for options on futures in a timely manner,” said Magnus Haglind, Vice President and Head of U.S. Commodities at Nasdaq.

“Utilizing their proven software suite, OptionsCity has quickly been able to provide us with a customized solution that can easily be integrated with our leading exchange platform.”
