LeapRate Exclusive… LeapRate has learned that automated regulatory compliance specialist muinmos has appointed Jonas Nielsen, former CEO of FX platform, data and charting provider NetDania Markets, as its new Business Development Director.
Jonas Nielsen was CEO of Copenhagen based NetDania Markets for the past eight years. He brings a wealth of experience to muinmos in terms of business development, and sales and marketing innovation. He has exceptional insight into the Retail FX industry gained from driving growth at NetDania Markets over the last eight years.
Jonas Nielsen will work closely with muinmos founder and CEO Remonda Z. Kirketerp-Møller to plan and execute the firm’s global sales and marketing strategy. His focus will be on expanding the company’s global client base and educating the market about the tangible business benefits of the firm’s flagship product, PASS, the world’s first fully automated cloud-based onboarding solution.
Jonas joins a high calibre team which includes some of the industry’s most respected FinTech specialists and operational experts including Lars Holst, former CEO of CFH Clearing who is chairman of the Board; Ashraf Agha, former head of treasury at Saxo Bank and Michel Paul André, former CTO at Saxo Bank.

Jonas Nielsen added about his new role at muinmos:

The most challenging part of my new role will be to educate financial institutions that compliance is so much more than KYC and AML. Regulators are concerned about a wide range of areas such as classification, suitability and appropriateness for each product and service offered to the underlying client and country clearance. PASS helps in all of these areas – for example, suitability and appropriateness tests can be re-run automatically on an on-going basis, with the results automatically reflecting any relevant changes. This includes changes in legislation, financial regulators’ guidelines and the underlying client’s changes in knowledge and experience, financial situation and investment objectives.

muinmos PASS offers fully-fledged Automated Regulatory Compliance (ARC). Its Regulatory Engine analyses dozens of parameters from across the globe. After the initial onboarding process, PASS provides ongoing client due diligence and regulatory monitoring 24×7 on a global regulatory scale.
muinmos’ PASS instantly and globally categorises clients in accordance with MiFID II in the EU or as equivalent in the rest of the world (KYCC), and instantly determines whether a financial institution can on-board a client to trade in a particular service (KYS), product (KYP) and country (KYCO) whilst performing the full suitability and/ or appropriateness assessments. It also clears the anti-money laundering requirements (AML) by using a traffic light rating system with full detailed breakdown of the results. In partnership with NorthRow, muinmos also enables financial institutions to undertake all Know Your Client (KYC) and Anti Money Laundering (AML) checks via a single API. PASS is a stand-alone system but can also easily be integrated into existing on/ offline on-boarding processes/ systems.
