Interactive Brokers’ TWS to allow traders to create Daily P&L Alerts on Positions

Shortly after releasing a new build of its Trader Workstation (TWS) platform, online trading services provider Interactive Brokers Group, Inc. (NASDAQ:IBKR) is already working on further enhancements of the solution.

Amid the improvements, currently available in the TWS (beta) build 956, are new alerts – Daily P&L Alerts on Positions.

As the name of the new addition suggests, TWS users will be able to set up an alert that is triggered by a change in the Daily Profit & Loss for a contract in which a trader holds a position.

To create a Daily P&L alert, traders simply have to select the contract in which they hold a position (in the portfolio, on a Watchlist etc) and use the right-click menu to select Analytical Tools and then Alert. After than, all one has to do is to click Advanced Settings in the Alert box to create a Daily P&L change alert.
