Merrill Lynch fined $6m for selling Facebook, General Motors, LinkedIn IPOs to industry insiders

FINRA has informed the public that it has fined Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith Inc. for improperly selling shares in initial public offerings (IPOs) to industry insiders.
