LeapRate Exclusive: LeapRate has learned that an unidentified man claiming to be a Chinese client of IronFX set up a large banner in front of the company’s Limassol head office with defamatory comments.
After threatening IronFX staff in front of the building with violence, he emerged later with red marks on his face to give the appearance that he had been roughed up. Turns out the blood was fake, either ketchup or paint, in an attempt to give the appearance of an altercation which never happened.
LeapRate contacted IronFX, which confirmed that the person was arrested by Cyprus Police and may be charged with trespassing, property damage and physical assault.
We believe that this incident is the latest in a string of targeted assaults against IronFX and its reputation by a group of China based IBs with whom IronFX prefers not to do business.
