Former Fair Trading Technology executive John Farrell joins emerging markets FX system

FX technology expert John Farrell has embarked on his latest venture following his resignation from his position as Global Head of Sales at Fair Trading Technology in January this year.

Mr. Farrell departed from the ailing Swedish company at the beginning of the year, founding his new MetaTrader 4 white label solution coupled with post trade systems/affiliate management and liquidity provision. GroFX also provides advisory services for retail brokers looking to licence and consulting advice on the market structure and technical solutions to run a brokerage business.

This month, Mr. Farrell has joined serial FX entrepreneur Jon Vollermaere and colleague Stuart Crooks within their innovative company, which operates under the name of R5FX Ltd based in London, UK. The company provides a currency trading system for emerging market currencies, often collectively referred to as EMFX.

Mr. Farrell considers that forthcoming regulatory parameters will require institutions and banks to drastically change their current trading channels for providing FX trading in the BRICS nations along with the associated emerging market/NDF currency pairs.

R5FX is therefore engaged in building a trading system for FX banks that not only satisfies these new legal requirements, but also specialises in the fast growing transaction volumes in BRIC and emerging economy currencies.
