CySEC announces renouncement of CIF authorization of Plasma Enterprises

The Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) has announced the renouncement of the authorization as Cyprus Investment Firm (CIF) of Plasma Enterprises Ltd, which provides investment services via www.plasma.com.cy.

The regulatory announcement, dated March 2, 2016, says that the company renounced the authorization itself on February 22, 2016. The authorization with Νumber 040/04 lapsed from the above-mentioned date.

logo_plasma_bgThe regulator adds that Plasma Enterprises Ltd remains under theCySEC supervision, until it settles its obligations arising from the investment services or/and activities that lapsed.

Plasma Enterprises Ltd. is an affiliate of a group of companies incorporated in the Russian Federation and Cyprus operating under the brand name Prospect. According to Plasma’s website, Prospect Brokerage Group is primarily focused on operations relating to Russia and cover the trading and brokerage activities, electronic trading (DMA), asset management, investment banking, corporate finance and investment advisory services. The majority of revenue of the Group is derived from its operations in Russia.
