Avus Capital grows bigger in Europe, gets license as Cyprus Investment Firm

The list of companies regulated by the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) has expanded, with the newest addition being Europe-focused investment services provider AVUS CAPITAL.

The CySEC website shows that Avus Capital Cy Ltd obtained a license as a Cyprus Investment Firm (CIF) on January 20, 2016. The license (290/16) has yet to be activated, as, under standard requirements, the Cypriot regulator permits license activation after an extra set of checks.

The CySEC regulation marks a further step in the international expansion of AVUS CAPITAL, which in the fall of 2014 became authorized in the UK.

AVUS CAPITAL, whose brands include retail FX broker Trading 212, is the collective name of Avus Capital Ltd. and Avus Capital UK Ltd. Avus Capital UK Ltd. is authorized and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, whereas Avus Capital Ltd. is registered in Bulgaria and is authorized and regulated by the Financial Supervision Commission (Register number RG-03-0237).
