(Former) clients of Alpari UK, the troubled retail Forex broker, have signaled to LeapRate that the website of the UK company – alpari.co.uk, as well as the websites of its subsidiaries, now redirects to the English version of the website of Alpari Russia. Indeed, visitors of alpari.co.uk and alpari.com are currently redirected to alpari-forex.com.
To clarify the matter, LeapRate contacted Alpari Ru, with a representative of the Forex broker explaining that whilst this is obviously a direct consequence of the deal that gave Andrey Dashin, the chairman of Alpari RU’s board of directors, the intellectual property rights over the Alpari brand, clients of Alpari (UK) are visibly directed to a separate page on alpari-forex.com bearing the official announcement from Special Administrators appointed to Alpari (UK) Ltd.
Although the move has sparked speculation amid Forex traders, with many asking whether they had been transferred to Alpari’s Russian business, in reality the clients of Alpari (UK) have not been moved anywhere.
