Leverate launches EMIR / MiFID II regulatory consulting service Regyoul8

New BIS report cites “internalization” by large banks for 7% volume drop

Continuing its metamorphosis from turnkey brokerage solutions provider to an FX point solutions company, Leverate has announced the launch of a new Cyprus-based regulatory consulting and services operation, called Regyoul8.

This of course follows our exclusive coverage from earlier this week of Leverate entering into a cooperation agreement with (former?) FX platform rival MetaQuotes, to provide services to MT5 brokers. Leverate also recently launched a new professional services department, Acxelr8, headed by Chen Ben Nun, focusing on client acquisition and retention services.

Leverate is launching Regyoul8 in light of the fast approaching MIFID II changes, that are due to come into effect in less than two months on January 3rd, 2018.

Navigating the complex standards of EMIR reporting and MIFID II is expected to be an extremely arduous and costly operation for most brokers. According to Yasha Polyakov CEO at Leverate,

Many brokers simply do not have the in-house knowledge and resource that will enable them to maintain their approved regulatory status.

Leverate has therefore responded to this industry crisis by establishing Regyoul8, a RegTech, and services solution that will help brokers achieve regulation reporting compliance in an innovative process with the assistance of specialized consultants, led by Mr. Panagiotis Nikolaou.

Mr. Panagiotis Nikolaou is a well-respected expert and lecturer in the field of European financial trading regulation with many years of experience in supporting brokers to meet their regulatory commitments. Panagiotis Nikolaou is a prominent professional in the Financial Services Sector.

Panagiotis is a full member of Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments (MCSI) and approved trainer for specialized subjects like ‘Active and Passive Trading Techniques’, ‘Anti-Money Laundering’, ‘MIFID II’, ‘Alternative Investments’ and ‘Introduction to Investment Operations’.

He is also preparing Compliance Officers, Internal Auditors, Anti-Money Laundering Compliance Officers and Risk Managers of Banks, Cypriot Investment Firms (CIFs) as well as UCITS and AIF managers for their official Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission advanced and basic examinations.

Mr. Nikolaou advised:

I look forward in working with Leverate, a top tier financial technology firm, so that we can support brokers in meeting this challenge together. Regyoul8 will take participating brokers through a simple and straightforward process towards achieving MiFiR & MIFID II Compliance with excellence.

The services of the new business will include:

  • Gap Analysis
  • Report Generation
  • Automated Reporting
