Eddie Astanin, Chairman of the Executive Board of National Settlement Depository (NSD), Russia’s central securities depository, has been re-elected to the Board of Directors of SWIFT, the global system of interbank transfers.
Mr. Astanin has held this post since 2015, when Russia’s representative joined the Board of Directors of SWIFT for the first time.
The Board of Directors of SWIFT includes 25 members representing countries with the highest SWIFT message traffic.
Eddie Astanin was nominated to the Board of Directors of SWIFT in accordance with the resolution of the General Meeting of ROSSWIFT adopted on 18 April 2018.
