DTCC with two new additions to its Board – Deborah Cunningham and Craig Messinger

Post trade financial services company, the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC), announced two new additions to its Board of Directors during firm’s Annual Shareholders Meeting. The Board works closely with the company’s leadership on topics such as including risk management, regulatory matters, the development of new products and services, emerging fintech, etc.

The two new additions to the Board are Deborah Cunningham of Federated Hermes, Inc. and Craig Messinger of Virtu Financial.

DTCC - new additions to the Board

Deborah Cunningham serves as a chief investment officer of Global Liquidity Markets at Federated Hermes where she joined in 1981 as a performance analyst. She has over 30 years of investment experience. In 1990 Cunningham became a portfolio manager for government and prime liquidity products, in addition, she also oversees the management of the domestic Tax-Exempt Liquidity portfolios and the Offshore Liquidity products.

Craig Messinger is a financial service industry veteran with 40 years of experience. He is a part of the executive management team and Vice Chairman at Virtu Financial, Inc, as well as CEO for Virtu Americas LLC, one of Virtu’s FINRA registered broker-dealers. Prior to that, Messinger served as Executive Vice President and global head of trading and risk management at BNY Mellon and a member of the bank’s Operating Committee and the Global Markets Executive Committee.

The DTCC Board of Directors currently includes 21 directors. 14 of those are participant directors, representing clearing agency members, such as international broker/dealers, custodian and clearing banks, and investment institutions; three are non-participant directors; two are appointed by DTCC’s preferred shareholders, ICE and FINRA; and the remaining two members are DTCC’s Non-Executive Chairman and its President and Chief Executive Officer.
