CySEC warns against Forex broker FXi (Cyprus) Ltd

The Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) has just published a warning regarding a Forex broker falsely claiming to be licensed in Cyprus.

The latest warning by he Cypriot regulator targets FXi (Cyprus) Ltd, a company offering a variety of FX services via https://tradefxi.com. The company says in its “About us” page that it has a number of licenses, including one from CySEC.

The Cypriot regulator stresses that FXi (Cyprus) Ltd is not permitted to provide investment and ancillary services in the country, under the Investment Services and Activities and Regulated Markets Law, as it has never been authorized by the Commission.

In addition, CySEC notes that no notification has been received by a competent authority of another Member State, pursuant to sections 77 and 80 of the above mentioned Law.
