Swissquote Financial Services (Malta) Ltd has appointed Andrew Zarb Mizzi to the role of Senior Executive Officer.
Mr. Mizzi joins Swissquote’s Maltese operations with over 20 years of experience in the financial sector, largely centered on stockbroking, before moving into managed FX and multi-asset wealth management.
Prior to joining Swissquote this month, Mr. Mizzi spent 6 years at RTFX Ltd as Executive Director.
RTFX is a compatriot of Swissquote, having commenced its operations in Switzerland
in 1995. In 2000, it evolved into Realtime Forex SA which was the precursor to RTFX Ltd and became Switzerland’s first online FX market maker.
In March 2009, RTFX Ltd was setup in Malta and is licensed and regulated by the Malta Financial Services Authority under European investment services directives and regulations.
Between 1998 and 2009, Mr. Mizzi held senior executive positions with stockbroking firms, preceded by one year as an Analyst at Malta’s national financial services industry regualtor, the Maltese Financial Services Authority.
Mr. Mizzi’s extensive education includes a Batchelor of Commerce degree from L-Universita ta Malta from which he graduated in 1996, followed by a further Batchelor of Commerce Honors degree in Banking and Finance.
In 2000, he obtained a Certificate in International Capital Markets from the London Securities Institute before completing a Masters degree in International Business Finance in 2003.
