LeapRate Exclusive… LeapRate has learned that FX industry sales veteran Ross Donoghue has joined the FCA regulated UK arm of Australia based Retail FX broker AxiTrader.
Based in London, Ross Donoghue had most recently been with ADS Securities in their London office, and was responsible for launching the launching the retail side of the business for the Abu Dhabi-based financial services firm.
Before joining ADS Securities in 2013, Mr. Donoghue was Director of Sales and Education EMEA at City Index, now a unit of Gain Capital Holdings Inc (NYSE:GCAP). He began his online trading career in sales at the Australia branch of CMC Markets Plc (LON:CMCX) back in 2004, eventually moving to CMC’s head office in London to become Head of Distribution UK and Ireland.
Mr. Donoghue’s appointment marks the latest in a series of management moves orchestrated by Rajesh Yohannan who became CEO of the parent company AxiCorp last year, especially with regards to AxiTrader’s UK and European operation. As was exclusively reported at LeapRate, AxiTrader recently added London-based Paul Kiff from GKFX as its new Global Head of Trading. AxiTrader has also seen the departure of some senior executives, with Managing Director Alex Mackinnon moving to a senior role at CFH Systems, and Head of Germany Torsten Gellert jumping to rival Pepperstone as MD Germany.
