LeapRate Exclusive… LeapRate has learned that former ThinkMarkets Australia General Manager Athol Nourse has gone live with his new Retail FX broker, called Champion FX (at champion-fx.com).
Champion FX is being launched as a 50-50 joint venture between Mr. Nourse and Binary.com, a licensed binary options platform with its base in Malta and back office operations in Malaysia.

Athol Nourse acted as General Manager of ThinkMarkets Australia for the past three years, before leaving to set up Champion FX earlier this year. Prior to that he was a senior business development executive for Synergy FX and FxPro.
Binary.com, one of the oldest providers of binary options trading, is providing the technical know-how for the company, while Athol and his team will be in charge of business development, marketing, and generally growing the business.
Champion FX is being launched as a Vanuatu licensed forex broker. We understand that that company plans to seek at least one other license in the near future, likely in South Africa.
Platform-wise, Champion FX is offering margin Forex, CFD and cryptocurrency trading on MT5, as well as binary options trading on Champion Trader, provided by Binary.com.
Core markets for Champion FX will include Asia, China, Africa, Latin America, and other emerging markets. Champion FX will also be launching a MAM-for-MT5 product, based on Gold-i’s MAM Pro, targeting money managers in the company’s target markets.
As an interesting twist to the brokerage launch, Champion FX plans to soon launch an initial coin offering (or ICO), effectively giving traders a chance to own part of the company via Champion FX tokens.
Keeping in line with the growing popularity of cryptocurrencies among FX traders, Champion FX plns to soon add a cashier system whereby clients can also deposit in BTC and ETH. The company also plans to enhance its crypto product range against fiat currencies, as well as crypto against crypto. At launch Champion FX offers BTC, ETH and Litecoin on USD and EUR crosses.
In its educational section “Champion FX Academy”, the company will be offering content from popular trader and trading educator Vince Stanzione.
