Continuing our coverage of the interesting ways Retail FX brokers spend their marketing dollars in the “offline” world – in particular in the area of sports sponsorships, Invast Global, the ASIC-regulated Australian-based arm of leading Japanese brokerage Invast Securities Co. Ltd. (TYO:8709), has announced that it is becoming a major sponsor of the Australia Men’s & Women’s Rugby 7s teams.
Invast didn’t (yet) put out a press release on the matter, which we believe will be forthcoming next week, but put out the following video on its YouTube channel. Fairly humorous, for those who enjoy:
The decision by Invast to highlight the Women’s side of the sponsorship also shows the power of sports sponsorships – the ability of brokers to break out of their core audience and reach new potential client groups.
The Australia national rugby 7s team participates in international rugby sevens competitions such as the Sevens World Series and Rugby World Cup 7s. Rugby 7s is now recognized as an Olympic sport and made its debut in the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio.
