ASIC has cancelled the Australian financial services (AFS) licence of Aquaint Capital Limited (in liquidation) ACN 110 353 065.
Aquaint is the responsible entity for Aquaint Income Fund ARSN 114 372 619 (the Scheme). It was placed into liquidation on 1 September 2016 following a creditors’ resolution that Aquaint be wound up on the basis that it is insolvent. The Liquidators commenced winding up the Scheme on 14 September 2016.
The cancellation is subject to a specification under section 915H of the Corporations Act that the AFS licence continues in effect as though the cancellation had not happened for a period of 12 months from the date of the cancellation in order to facilitate the winding up of the Scheme.
The AFS licence was cancelled on 28 February 2017.
