LeapRate Exclusive…. It looks like one of the key strategic goals of 2017 for leading Forex and CFD brokers is to increase affiliate traffic.
Just a day after we reported exclusively that New York based Gain Capital Holdings Inc (NYSE:GCAP) was getting set to launch a new-and-improved affiliate program, using third party affiliate management software from the Income Access unit of Paysafe Group Plc (LON:PAYS), we have also learned of similar plans at IG Group Holdings plc (LON:IGG), the leading UK online broker.
Unlike at Gain Capital and its Forex.com, City Index, and FinSpreads retail trading brands, the IG affiliate program was developed in-house over the course of nearly a year. We had reported as far back as last February on IG’s plans to become more active with affiliates.
Well it seems as though IG is now ready with the new system. Apparently, IG has sent out messages to its current and targeted potential affiliates about the launch of the new system features, set to formally go online this weekend.
The message sent out by IG reads as follows:

We’re delighted to be launching our new affiliate platform interface on Sunday 5 February, with a whole host of new and improved features. The new interface offers easier access to a range of marketing tools, to help you better monitor performance and ultimately maximise your revenue.
What’s improved?
- Your dashboard: now with a customisable graph, personalised top-performing creatives and account manager contact details
- Marketing tools: overhauled with four new features, including flexible filters, dynamic parameter input, creative code download and customisable reports with new filters
- The balance status indicator: now easily visible in the top right-hand corner of each page
