Gain Capital set to launch new affiliate program using Paysafe’s Income Access – LeapRate Exclusive

LeapRate Exclusive… LeapRate has learned that Gain Capital Holdings Inc (NYSE:GCAP) is preparing the launch of a new affiliate program, using third party affiliate software from Income Access. Montreal-based Income Access was acquired last year by payment systems provider Paysafe Group Plc (LON:PAYS) for $30 million.

The new program will include affiliates of all of Gain Capital’s retail Forex and CFD brands, including Forex.com, City Index and FinSpreads. City Index is mainly a UK online brand but is also promoted by Gain in Singapore and Australia. FinSpreads is a UK focused spread betting brand, acquired by Gain in 2015 as part of its $118 million purchase of City Index.

We believe that the company will make a formal announcement later this quarter, once the system is fully tested and ready to go.

Why the new system?

Gain Capital’ current affiliate program is, frankly, somewhat out of date and fairly ‘manual’ for all parties when it comes to reporting, billing and general management. With the Income Access system, Gain affiliates will be able to access data relating to their referrals, get creative material, keep tabs on earnings and performance, and manage all billing in a simple and unified manner.

We believe that one of the key reasons that Gain Capital’s retail brands have been losing volume and market share in a nearly two-year decline since the City Index deal is the company’s out-of-date affiliate program. One of Gain’s key strategic initiative for 2017, we believe, is to reverse that trend with the new Income Access system.

A Gain Capital spokesperson told LeapRate:

With the integration of City Index largely complete, GAIN is now making investments in its product offering, marketing & other new capabilities as part of a strategy to refocus on organic growth. Having a global affiliates program is part of that plan and we look forward to offering our future affiliate partners a greatly enhanced service.

We understand that ahead of the launch, Gain Capital is making a hard push to sign up both new and existing affiliates to the new system.
