British Columbia regulator adds Interactive Option to Investment Caution list

The British Columbia Securities Commission (BCSC) has added its voice to the chorus of concerns regarding Cyprus-registered binary options broker Interactive Option.

On Wednesday, the British Columbia regulator added Interactive Option, a brand of Pegase Capital Limited, to its Investment Caution list, noting that the company is not authorized to offer investment services to BC residents. Nevertheless, the company has been approaching BC investors.

In March this year, the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) suspended the CIF license of Pegase Capital Limited, citing numerous violations of Cypriot investment laws. In November last year, the Cypriot watchdog imposed a fine of EUR 300,000 on the broker.

At present, the website of Interactive Option (www.interactive-option.com) displays an announcement saying that during the time of the license suspension the company cannot provide the services under its CIF license.
