MT4’s new build to support web trading

MetaQuotes Software has announced that the beta version of the updated MetaTrader 4 (MT4) platform is to be released on Friday, August 28, 2015.

The company will update its public MetaQuotes-Demo server located at demo.metaquotes.net:443. It invites all traders to join the testing of the new platform, assess its features and provide feedback developers.

To update MetaTrader 4 platform to build 865, one has to connect to demo.metaquotes.net:443 server. The final build of the new MetaTrader 4 platform will be rolled out after the public beta test.

  1.  Web Trading:

The new build makes all trading and analytical features of a desktop terminal accessible from a web browser. The web platform is safe to use – any transmitted information is securely encrypted.

Web trading is available from a MQL5.community account – one has to navigate to the new “Trade” page.

The interface of the web platform is similar to the desktop version and is therefore easy to understand.

The following basic functions are already available:

  • All types of trading operations: placing market and pending orders;
  • Real-time quotes in the Market Watch;
  • Customizable price charts;
  • 9 chart timeframes;
  • Basic analytical objects: horizontal, vertical and trend line, equidistant channel and Fibonacci lines.

The developers promise that the features of the web platform will be further expanded in the future.

2. Hosting: Payments for Virtual Hosting can now be transferred straight from the payment systems.

To pay for hosting services, users do not need to log in to the MQL5.community account and add money to it. The hosting platform rent can now be paid straight from the platform using one of the payment systems.

  1. New OTP authentication feature.

Use of OTP (one-time password) provides an additional level of security for trading accounts. The user is required to enter a unique one-time password every time to connect to an account.

The update will be available through the LiveUpdate system.
